1. Information We Collect

When you use SoulsNote, we collect the minimal information necessary to deliver personalized keepsake experiences:

• Account Credentials: If you register, we collect your name, email address, and encrypted password (or public Google profile token if using Google OAuth).
• Keepsake Content: The letters you write, recipient nicknames, memory hints, secret verification riddles, and any personal photo memories you choose to attach.
• Interactive Telemetry: Anonymized timestamps of letter unlock attempts and reaction emoji clicks so the sender can see that their surprise was successfully received.
• Confession Wall Submissions: Confessions submitted to the public wall are anonymized. If you submit without a nickname, your post is labeled completely anonymous.

2. How Private Letters Are Protected

Every letter created on SoulsNote is assigned a cryptographically unguessable alphanumeric slug.

- Search Engine Exclusion: Private letter reveal pages (`/l/{slug}`) strictly include `noindex, nofollow` robot directives and are excluded from XML sitemaps. Search engines like Google and Bing cannot index your letters.
- Challenge Barrier: Letters locked with secret questions or verification riddles cannot be read until the recipient inputs the correct answer.

3. Cookies & Session Storage

We use standard secure session cookies to keep you logged into your creator dashboard and remember temporary wizard progress. We do not use intrusive cross-site ad trackers.

4. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have total control over your memories. At any time from your member dashboard, you can:

• Edit or update existing letters.
• Permanently delete any letter, photo reel, or confession. Once deleted, all associated assets are immediately purged from our storage.
• Request total account deletion by contacting our support team.
